Prove it!

Hello fans.

I don't think I told you that I've got a date for the operation on my wrist. It will be on the 24th March 2006!

I've got mixed feelings about it. I'm not too worried about the operation itself, it's the fact that I will have to have my arm in plaster for ages. The Doctor said it would be 3 months, and I've read online that it can be an average of 6!

I'm going for a pre-op assessment on the 9th, and I should find a bit more information then.

I'm hoping it will be a lot less than 3 months even, but we'll have to wait and see.

Actually my real hope is that God will 'do a miracle' on it, and I won't need any treatment at all. So far there's no sign of this, but I can always live in hope... Go on God - PROVE YOURSELF!

I love you all,

Rob.

Life choices.

Hello fans.

I really must do something with my life.

I've been stuck in a rut for ages, and I think my biggest problem is procrastination. If I could remove that, and sort out my attitude to life, I believe I could do something amazing.

I'm not short of ideas. I just can't be bothered. Sad really...

Leave a comment if you've got any advice.

Rob.

P.S. I love these drawings. Check them out!

Vomit inducing gas cloud.

Hello fans.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days.

Here is a lovely story to make up for it:

I have two cats, and one of them is very nervous. She doesn't like being picked up or stroked, and always runs off.

Today while I was watching TV, she sat down in front of me and I decided to pick her up. After a couple of seconds holding her, she escaped my grasp and ran off.

It was then I smelt it. My cat had farted. Had her nerves got the better of her, or was it part of her natural defense mechanism? The honest truth is I just don't know.

Whatever the answer is, I do know that I will think twice before picking her up again... I nearly had to leave the room. It was that bad.

My Mum said that it served me right.

Check back tomorrow for more 'laughs'.

Rob.

P.S. Sorry for the quality of this post.

Eventful.

Note: When I say "Today", I actually mean "Yesterday". Alright?

I achieved 12 things today.

  1. Woke up at 1ish.
  2. Ate lunch.
  3. Watched half an episode of Monk.
  4. Watched the GB womens curling team lose to Japan.
  5. Text a few Xcelerators*.
  6. Had a shower.
  7. Went to church.
  8. Went to the pub with my mate Ed.
  9. Came home and ate some of Dad's take away Chinese.
  10. Watched American Dad followed by Family Guy.
  11. Wrote this.
  12. Went to bed (in a couple of minutes).

Beat that!

Rob.

*Today is my first Xceler-versary. This time last year, I was tucked up in bed, starting my first nights sleep in Manchester on the 5 month Xcelerate course. I can't believe it's only a year ago. It feels like two. That's why I was texting the Xcelerators!

Time warp.

Hello fans.

See what I've done there?

I was going to post something in the early hours of this morning, but my computer crashed. I'm posting now, but I haven't missed a day, because it's before midnight. Wow!

For the last couple of weeks my computer hasn't been shutting down properly. Every time I log off, the 'Saving your settings' screen just locks up, and I then have to switch the whole thing off at the wall... Anyway, some error message came up about the modem and it was then that I realized a piece of paper was on top of it, blocking all the air holes!

I love you all,

Rob.

P.S. If you thought my post about my bus journey was funny, check this one out. It was the paper blocking the holes all along. You couldn't make it up!

Mega-Hike.

Hello fans.

Well, as promised here are a couple of photos I took while out walking to Devils Dyke, near Brighton.

A pretty farm track at Saddlescombe.

Looking North from Devil's Dyke towards Poynings.

Looking West along the North side of the South Downs... It makes sense to me!

Hope you like the pics,

Rob.

P.S. When writing this, I just got the feeling that God loves me very much. Almost as though he made all this just to cheer me up! What a nice feeling that is!

Hike-a-thon.

Hello fans.

As you can see, my attempts to go to bed earlier have failed miserably. What's worse is that I have agreed to go for a 'hike' with one of my mates at 10 o'clock this morning. That's in 7 hours time! I may just crawl into a hedge and fall asleep.

We'll be walking on the South Downs - a large chalk ridge that runs approximately 260 miles across Southern England. Obviously not all of it though. We're heading for a place called Devil's Dyke, and it should take us 6 or 7 hours to get there and back!

Weather and memory permitting, I may try and post a few photos tomorrow.

Who said this blog wasn't exciting?

I love you all,

Rob.

The calm after the storm.

Hello fans.

I must start trying to get to bed earlier. My body clock has been in a different time zone for the last month or so, and most of my posts have been (well) past midnight.

I still think it is Valentines Day, when in fact it is already tomorrow.

I think I may start posting a few pictures, and maybe the odd exciting link, just to liven this place up a bit.

Tomorrow is another day, so I'm off to bed.

I love you all,

Rob.

Fiftieth class post.

Hello fans.

According to my statistics department, this is my 50th post.

I think that's approximately 1 post every 8.2 days since I started this blog. I'll have the guys from 'stats' check this figure.

I must say, that's a better average than I was expecting.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my loyal readers, and I hope my next 50 posts are as successful as the first 50. (What am I talking about?)

Your countless* comments have been a real inspiration, and I always look forward to checking, and then rechecking (sometimes as much as 20 times a day) the number of hits on my site meter. I do this by hitting the refresh button.

I would also like to thank my sponsors, without whom I could never 'live the dream' of blogging.

Blogger.com - for hosting this site,
Sitemeter.com - for counting each one of my visitors by hand, and
Timotei.co.uk - for enhancing the natural beauty of my hair.

Feel free to leave a congratulatory comment today if you like.

Have a Happy Valentines day!

I love you all,

Robbiekins.

*Countless as in - "I cannot be bothered to scroll through several pages to count the number of comments. My guess is somewhere between 3 and 6."

Own goal.

Hello fans.

I've had a fairly good day today. I didn't really do much, but I'm feeling alright.

I've been practicing the guitar quite a bit today. I got it about 18 months ago, but have only picked it up every now and then. Having said that, I played nearly every day when I was in Manchester.

Dad bought me a Christian music book for Christmas, and along with the other one I had already, I can play quite a few tunes. I don't think I sound bad, but as Bob Dylan wrote; "Know your song well before you start singing".

One of my dreams (as opposed to an aspiration) is to be lead singer in a Christian rock band. It's a dream because it's fairly unlikely to ever happen!

Today has also been fairly imagination filled. No action, just imagination. I think I will set myself a few goals (with deadlines!) and see what happens.

Goal 1. Write a list of goals.

I love you all,

Rob.

A weight lifted.

Hello fans.

As I didn't post anything yesterday, I feel pressured (by me) to post something today.

...

Phew. That's another load off my mind.

Rob.

Well that's killed 5 minutes.

Hello fans.

How have you all been?

I have decided not to whinge about my life tonight.

Blah blah blah.

Can't think of anything else to say.

Tune in tomorrow for another exciting installment.

I love you all,

Rob.

Early to bed, early to rise...

Hello fans.

Well, today has been fairly crap - as usual. It hasn't always been like this, only in the last few months!

I didn't actually get out of bed until 5.30pm, and that's why I'm still awake now. I achieved absolutely nothing, and posting this blog is probably the most significant thing I've done today.

I really need to do something with my life.

If you are reading this, I hope your having a nice day. I mean it!

Rob.

I love you all.

Hello fans.

Well, only a few months since my last post. As usual my lack of motivation and organization are the reasons I haven't posted.

No news really. I'm still waiting for my operation, and it's now been approximately 13 months since the original accident - Tut!

I can't be bothered to write anything else today.

Post a comment if you are a real person reading this. Just so I know you exist!

Rob.
